- ➤ Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Dominguez and Undersheriff Lt. Doug Sanders warned parents that a sextortion scam is forcing children to send explicit images using mobile devices—officials stress that keeping an open dialogue about online safety can help prevent further abuse. Sheridan Media
- ➤ A 46-year-old Sheridan man named David Lopez was sentenced in Fourth Judicial District Court for distributing methamphetamine—he received a split sentence of 90 days in the county detention center followed by three years of probation with 27 days credit and must check in by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1.
