At a recent Sheridan City Council meeting, Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns’ development director Meredith Sopko explained the Housing Land Trust Initiative that helps local families with incomes at 30 to 80 percent of the median achieve home ownership.

The initiative addresses critical housing needs in our community + supports one of four key programs offered by Habitat.

The sold-out tour in the 13,748 square foot home built in 1913 will return next summer—organizers plan more tours then.

The Sheridan Community Land Trust is hosting a free Discovery Session in Plein Air Sketching led by Randy Stout.

Johnson County commissioners approved Resolution No. 753 that changes the mill levies for the county special districts—Commission Chair Bill Novotny detailed the levy amounts and there was no discussion during the vote.

The action took place on August 22.

The Sheridan County Commission approved a report from the County Public Works Department that details a petition by Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC to de-annex property from the City of Sheridan—Commissioner Nick Siddle said the move will aid the permitting process for the subdivision.
