Sheridan man and former SHS assistant principal Jacob Meyer was sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison after a jury convicted him of sexual assault in the second degree for an incident on April 19, 2024, and Fourth Judicial District Court ordered him to pay $275 in court costs (Meyer will receive credit for time served).

Data from February 2025 show that women in Wyoming earn only 65 cents for every dollar men earn and must work extra months to match their income.

Sheridan County commissioners ratified a License Agreement with Powder River Energy Corp to install an overhead single-phase power line at a residence on County Road #1237—also known as Youngs Creek Road—and exempt the project from county fees.
