- ➤ Trail End Historic Site hosts a two-mile First Day Hike at 10:00 a.m. on New Year's Day. Hikers will follow a route through local historic areas and end at Kendrick Mansion with free hot cocoa — leashed dogs are welcome and warm clothes are recommended. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter operations manager Hannah Edwards told Public Pulse that the shelter saw strong participation in its spay and neuter certificate program and vaccination clinics this winter when fewer dog surrenders allowed the team to focus on animal care, and she noted the surrender list is clear. - ➤ Clear Creek Recreation District will host its annual New Year’s Eve party on Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. in Clearmont, offering a dance, music and light show by DJ Mike Guyer and events including a game room and movie screenings (family-friendly for all ages). Sheridan Media
