CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday, Dec. 21, ten youth riders from Pine Ridge, Northern Cheyenne and Wind River Reservations rode from the Sheridan Fairgrounds to the Fetterman Monument, retracing an ancestral route from 1866. Community members gathered to listen to flute music and drumming before attending a pot luck dinner at Kearny Hall. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Natural History Museum director Tom Hebert announced a drawing for a family to win an all expenses paid private dinosaur dig donated by a generous supporter. The winner will be revealed during the museum’s grand reopening Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Sheridan College campus (1 Whitney Way). Sheridan Media

- ➤ Tongue River Middle School students excelled at a state robotics tournament (Casper) that showcased their technical skills and teamwork. Their success reflects the school’s strong focus on STEM education. The Sheridan Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, the U.S. House voted to remove Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves, a decision that could affect how local wildlife is managed. Local experts (including regional land managers) say residents should watch for any changes in wolf policies. Wyoming Tribune Eagle
