- ➤ On Dec. 6, local landowners took part in Rancher’s Night Out, an informal gathering organized by the Working Lands Collaborative to share ideas and discuss mental health and challenges in farming. - ➤ Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters has been named to a prestigious New York Times list as the only Wyoming store to make the cut. The business has served local customers on 2nd Street for over a century. Casper Star-Tribune
- ➤ Downtown Sheridan's DSA Shop Small Shopping Spree recorded 2,499 shoppers spending over $172,000 from Nov. 1 to 30, boosting local business as 68% of each dollar stayed in the community — local shops donated 250% more to nonprofits than big box retailers. City of Sheridan

- ➤ The A/C Christmas Concert is set for Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. at Arvada-Clearmont School. Grades 7-12 students will perform while Santa visits and the Clearmont Woman’s Club hands out treat bags. City of Sheridan

- ➤ At Monday, Dec. 8 meeting, the SCSD#2 Board recognized the SHS 4A Football State Champions for winning 55 games in a row and maintaining a 3.25 GPA, awarded Kasey Garnhart as Activities Director of the Year, approved library policy changes, and greenlit local bids for new snow removal equipment. - ➤ Sheridan High School students won the state 'We the People' contest and will soon compete at nationals in Washington, D.C. while Cheyenne Central High School finished second. Wyoming Tribune Eagle
- ➤ Fifty-three Sheridan High School students were named All State for their choir, band + orchestra performances, highlighting the strength of the school’s music program today. The Sheridan Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan Community Land Trust completed a wet meadow restoration project on private ranch land along Sixmile Creek near Ranchester — crews installed 98 Zeedyk structures to slow erosion, improve soil health, and boost grassland productivity for local livestock and wildlife while planning to monitor the site for four years.
