- ➤ As winter drives begin in Sheridan and Johnson Counties, Wyoming Highway Patrol Captain Erik Jorgensen advises drivers to prepare vehicles, allow extra travel time, and know their personal limits — a reminder that weather-related crashes nationally cause nearly 900 fatalities and about 76,000 injuries each year. - ➤ At a recent Board meeting, Sheridan College President Dr. Walter Tribley said the Science Center renovation, estimated at $27 million with 45% local funding, may not receive state support after Governor Mark Gordon omitted it in his budget recommendation + he warned delays will increase costs ahead of the legislative session starting Feb. 9. - ➤ On Dec. 3, Governor Mark Gordon signed a proclamation naming Dec. 7 as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day to honor those who served. The Wyoming National Guard will help observe the day across the state. Wyoming News Now
