- ➤ A mother-daughter team who lost a son to a drunk driving crash started Montana Bar Fairies in 2023 to reward drivers who choose a safe ride with a $5 coffee gift card — the nonprofit has given out thousands of cards in several states and plans to expand into Wyoming soon. Cowboy State Daily
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Women doctors broke barriers in early Wyoming by practicing medicine during a time when few women worked in the field—Dr. Lillian Heath from Rawlins became the state’s first licensed woman doctor and later, Dr. Anna G. Hurd of Sheridan advanced local medical care by leading the development of a private hospital. These pioneers set the stage for the broad participation of women in medicine that we see today.
