COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On November 22, about 25 volunteers helped decorate Kendrick Mansion State Historic Site by trimming trees and adorning rooms for upcoming holiday events. The Mansion will host a Holiday Open House on December 5—6—7 and Christmas with the Kendricks on December 19—20, with an undecorating day set for January 17 at 10 a.m.  Sheridan Media
  • Tourist visits in Sheridan have increased by 3% compared to last year and the county remains popular with international visitors. Sheridan County Travel and Tourism is partnering with the Wyoming Office of Tourism — along with state partners in the Great American West Partnership—to market to Australia, France, Germany, Canada, and the UK.  Sheridan Media
  • The 2025 Sheridan Festival of Trees took place at Ramada Plaza with 17 decorated trees, wreaths, and silent auction items benefiting the Sheridan Area Chapter of Special Olympics Wyoming. Proceeds reached about $16,895 — the 'Memories of Sheridan County' tree sold for $2,100 as the top bid.  Sheridan Media
  • Sheridan Firefighters and Police Officers will face the high school girls wrestling team in a workout showdown at Cloud Peak Crossfit on November 26 at 10 a.m.—held at 108 East Grinnell Street, the event asks locals to donate a can of soup to help fight childhood hunger in our community.  Sheridan Media

  • The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Amanda’s Professional Pet Care during an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting on Nov. 21—Certified Veterinary Technician Amanda Fabel will offer in-home pet sitting services to local pet owners.  Sheridan Media
  • The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member SoundMind Leadership during a ribbon cutting on Nov. 21 (attended by local Chamber Ambassadors); the firm offers leadership coaching and consulting and is led by owner Aubrey Brenneman (a local business leader).  Sheridan Media

CULTURE NEWS

  • Museum at the Bighorns director Carrie Edinger and operations manager Chip King invite residents to visit the museum during the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll on Nov. 28 from 10 a.m.—8 p.m.—to see new lights, hardwood floors and painted walls while the museum works toward a $50,000 donation match.  Sheridan Media
