BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce has kept over $1,000,000 in Chamber Bucks circulating locally in the past five years to help small shops compete with big stores — the program began in 1993 with $2,700 and grew to a record over $239,000 issued in 2021. Chamber Bucks are check-like money used at local businesses and will be given as gifts during the Get Caught Shopping promotion — which starts Nov. 28 and runs for three weeks. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Jentel invites the community to meet its new resident artists at a free event held at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle on Nov. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.—guests are encouraged to bring their lunch and cookies will be provided. Sheridan Media
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ At Sheridan College, five students have assumed leadership roles in the Student Government Association (SGA) to represent the student body amid a growing desire for campus involvement. They were chosen to help ensure student voices are heard on campus. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Scott Stults resigned as superintendent at SCSD#2 after five years — he accepted a state-wide position to broaden his impact on students and educators. He said his decision was difficult — driven by his ongoing commitment to quality education in Wyoming. Sheridan Media

- ➤ On October 18, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation held its 17th Link — Partners in Pink run/walk at Whitney Commons Park that raised over $50K for cancer care at the Welch Cancer Center, drawing more than 600 participants, survivors and volunteers who supported the Comfort Care Program.
