  • Climb Wyoming was named as a Microsoft TechSpark fellow and will boost tech access for single mothers statewide — the nonprofit has served these families for nearly 40 years.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Dec. 1, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a public meeting in the Sheridan region to gather input and answer questions about proposed changes to black bear hunting seasons.  The Sheridan Press
  • Governor Mark Gordon ended Public Welfare Emergency Executive Order 2025-08 on November 19, stopping a two-week food subsidy program for food banks and pantries when SNAP benefits paused—DFS will provide a full report of funds used by mid December.  Sheridan Media
  • Earlier this fall, the Sheridan-Johnson Critical Air Service Team (CAST) announced that SkyWest will soon operate an extra roundtrip CRJ 200 flight to Denver during Thanksgiving to meet local demand; on November 19, airport manager Robert Gill noted that despite a government shutdown (resolved November 12), the load factor has remained steady.  Sheridan Media
  • With Thanksgiving approaching, Wyoming Department of Transportation and AAA Wyoming advised motorists to leave early or delay trips to avoid the heaviest traffic—law enforcement plans to patrol roads and drivers must stay alert to prevent accidents.  Wyoming News Now

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Saturday, October 18, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation held its 17th annual Link — Partners in Pink run/walk at Whitney Commons Park where more than 600 participants, volunteers, and cancer survivors raised over $50,000 to support the Comfort Care Program at Welch Cancer Center. The funds will help provide better care for cancer patients.  Sheridan Media
