- ➤ Mark Caudle, president of the Story Days and Events Committee, invited the public to a German style Christmas Market on Saturday, Dec. 6 along North Piney Road in Story. Vendors will offer traditional German foods and beverages, arts and crafts while music, carolers and children’s activities add a festive, family-friendly touch—special guests and hay rides will further enhance the event. - ➤ Dr. Lauren Graffin Estrada, a Sheridan College Theatre professor, and Theater student Emilou Justice appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite local residents to see The Snow, a play about a village trapped in a heavy snowstorm. The play will run at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 and 2 p.m. Saturday at the WYO Theater—tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for military and are free for Sheridan College students and children 12 and under. - ➤ On November 18, the Ucross Foundation announced that Wyoming visual artist Jennifer Rife is the inaugural recipient of the new Al and Ann Simpson Fellowship—a four-week residency that provides studio space and creative support to local artists. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Wyoming's commercial air service remains stable despite a temporary six percent flight reduction by the FAA, according to WYDOT. More than 282,000 seats will be available in November and December to support a busy holiday season. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Wyoming Game and Fish has set seasonal closures for Wildlife Habitat Management Areas to protect winter ranges for deer, elk, bighorn sheep and other wildlife. In Sheridan and Johnson Counties, Bud Love WHMA is closed Jan 1—May 14 while Kerns and Ellis are closed until May 31 and Amsden Creek and Ed O. Taylor are closed until May 14. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan County School District #2 held a legislative roundtable on November 17 with four Wyoming legislators, including Laurie Bratten, Marilyn Connolly, Ken Pedergraft, and Tom Kelly, to address education issues like teacher pay, class sizes, and funding gaps for programs such as CTE and free or reduced lunch.
