- ➤ Military and firefighting veteran Ross Byrd will be honored as AARP Wyoming’s Hero of the Game during the University of Wyoming Cowboys’ game on Nov. 22 in Laramie. - ➤ Chase Christensen of School District 3 said he was humbled when he was nominated for the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Community Champion award — a recognition that honors local community leadership. The Sheridan Press

- ➤ A Wyoming legislative committee advanced a bill nicknamed the Tim Tebow rule that will require school districts to let middle school homeschool students join school activities. - ➤ The City of Sheridan will continue using odd-even parking and the Everbridge Mobile App to clear snow this winter. Councilor Terry Weitzel urged residents to download the app—an important tool for weather alerts—after a harsh past winter led to extra work for city crews. Sheridan Media
- ➤ A new report finds Wyoming’s public infrastructure spending increased 89.3% over the past five years to $1,465,000,000 and now makes up 12.9% of government funds — each resident sees an investment of $2,493 compared to $1,361 nationwide. Wyoming News Now
- ➤ The Wyoming Veterans Commission is expanding its programs to offer food security, benefits, and mental health support to local veterans and their families — officials say its services have already helped nearly 30,000 veterans. - ➤ A massive power outage began around 12:45 p.m. Thursday that left nearly 100,000 customers without electricity, triggered by two tripped 500-kilovolt lines near Medicine Bow. Most homes had their power back by about 4:30 p.m.—the outage affected areas including Sheridan and several other towns. Wyoming News Now
