- ➤ Sheridan County YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday updated listeners on Public Pulse about the Give Your Heart to a Child Campaign, a fundraiser that provides scholarships for YMCA memberships and fees. The campaign began Oct. 12 and had raised about 30% of its $290,000 goal as staff and volunteers canvassed the community amid financial challenges – with scholarship requests handled discreetly. - ➤ The Clearmont Historical Group will host its annual Veterans Day program on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at the Clear Creek Valley Veteran’s Memorial then at the Clearmont Community Center, where the AC School band and local speakers will pay tribute to the cease-fire that ended World War I — a key moment in history. - ➤ Powder River Energy Corporation applied for a small Cost of Power Adjustment—while Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. filed a larger rate case that could raise electric bills for many residents in Sheridan County. - ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department warned residents to discard pumpkins instead of leaving them outside as animals eating them can become sick, especially mule deer.
