- ➤ Sheridan Community Land Trust announced an experimental off-leash dog area at Big Goose Natural Area to expand local recreational opportunities while promoting trail use and wildlife care—visitors are advised to follow simple guidelines and look for yellow access signs near the SCLT office. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office urged hunters and recreationalists to share trip details with a trusted contact — including camp location, vehicle plate number and planned duration — so Search and Rescue can quickly locate them if they become injured or lost in the Bighorns. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Gov. Mark Gordon issued two executive orders Friday — one released state funds to support food pantries while the other began a process to limit sugary SNAP purchases and make Wyoming healthy again. - ➤ Wyoming Game and Fish announced the Sheridan Bird Farm has stocked more than 15,000 pheasants for today's season opener, and regular stocking will continue at release sites in Sheridan, Johnson, Bighorn and Fremont counties.
