CHAPS earned its second accreditation after a long review that included on-site visits from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International—who checked its work—and the Certified Horseman’s Association—who verified its standards; the milestone now opens doors for grants from the Department of Veterans Affairs to support veteran equine therapy programs in Sheridan.

Wyoming Game and Fish announced that the Bud Love Youth Pheasant Hunt will be held on Nov.

15 at Bud Love Wildlife Habitat Management Area near Buffalo, where only hunters 17 and under can hunt pheasants while adults may assist by hunting other species. The Fort Phil Kearny Family Pheasant Hunt will run from Nov. 28 to 30 with adult hunters charged a fee (residents $4 and non-residents $8) and free entry for youth, and all participants must have a Pheasant Special Management Stamp with youth showing proof of a Hunter Safety Course or exemption.
