- ➤ The Downtown Sheridan Association will host the Holiday Kickoff in Pink event in downtown Sheridan from Nov. 13th to Nov. 15th. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ The Sheridan County YMCA launched its annual Give Your Heart to a Child campaign to raise $290,000 for scholarships that keep YMCA programs affordable for children, families, seniors, and individuals. YMCA staff and volunteers are canvassing the county to collect donations + support these efforts. Sheridan Media
- ➤ On Halloween, Oct 31, the Clearmont Recreation District will host its annual Trunk or Treat where residents can set up decorated vehicles in the parking lot after 5:00 p.m. A jack-o-lantern carving contest with entries by 6:30, chili and cinnamon rolls for $5, and a Treat Street at the Town Hall and Historical Center are planned—the gym will be used if weather is bad. - ➤ In Sheridan, the community choir Hubcaps and Friends will host a free Veterans Day concert featuring First Lt. Bruce L. Andrews—an 81 year old singer who began performing in choirs at age 7. The event on November 11 will honor local veterans. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member Shades of Green at a ribbon-cutting event on October 24. The business, located at 1045 Coffeen Ave, Suite C, sells rare plants, crystals, rocks and gemstones — and offers plant rental services. Sheridan Media

- ➤ The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce welcomed SERVPRO of Sheridan at a ribbon cutting on Oct. 28—SERVPRO now offers cleaning, restoration, and construction cleaning services in the area from their new office at 1664 Terra Ave. Sheridan Media
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ SAGE Community Arts is hosting a juried black and white photography show that will highlight art fundamentals and creative photography. The call for submissions opened Oct. 1—closing on Nov. 26—and the show will run from Jan. 20 to Mar. 7 at SAGE Community Arts. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan High School marching band earned its fourth straight superior rating and placed third at state — a mark of high performance since returning four years ago. The Sheridan Press
