CULTURE NEWS

  • Sandy Hirz of the Clearmont Historical Center said donations for luminary bags have raised $645 and that the bags will light the center window each night. Robert Prusak said $500 will go to the Veteran’s Day program — funds are also being used to improve the handicapped ramp and back door deck.  City of Sheridan

  • Retired game warden Rick King said he often hears 'Joe Pickett' when he tells people about his work, connecting real-life duties with what author C.J. Box wrote in his novels. Box created his series after immersing himself in Wyoming life—highlighting the daily challenges, ethical dilemmas, and unexpected events game wardens face on the job.  Cowboy State Daily
  • At a recent City Council meeting, the council awarded Highland Inc a $222,478 bid for phase six of Black Tooth Park—this phase will install an irrigation system for about five acres and include topsoil hauling and seeding.  Sheridan Media
