  • The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce was alerted to an unauthorized GoFundMe page that misused the name of its nonprofit foundation and is taking steps to remove it. The chamber said it will follow proper procedures to protect its reputation and funds.  The Sheridan Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tongue River Valley FFA hosted a tractor safety demonstration at Tongue River High School on Thursday afternoon. Students learned about equipment used in agriculture—tools essential for safe operations.  The Sheridan Press
  • Sheridan County middle school band and choir students from northeast Wyoming gathered at a clinic to share musical skills rather than compete— they worked together to learn new techniques and celebrate their talents.  The Sheridan Press

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Halter and Sheridan Community Land Trust are hosting a Virtual Fencing Field Day on Monday, November 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SCLT Community Rooms at 14 Lane Ln. in Sheridan — the field day will let local ranchers demonstrate a pilot program that uses wireless technology to create virtual fencing across varied terrain with support from conservation partners.  Sheridan Media

  • Amy Long, director of the Sheridan County Library System, announced the release of the library’s first annual report—available online—detailing essential community information and recognizing donations—vital to the library’s services.  Sheridan Media
