  • During manufacturing month, Sheridan Chamber visitors toured Western Heritage Meat Company on Oct. 21; owners Taylor Kerns, his wife Cathryn, and GM Brian McGuire showed how local ranchers bring livestock for USDA-inspected processing from the kill floor to the cutting room — attendees observed details of both bulk and retail production.   • Officials announced that Horse Palace’s expansion is expected to boost local tax revenue—details on the projected amounts will be released soon.  Casper Star-Tribune
  • Governor Mark Gordon said on Thursday that discussions about increasing beef imports from Argentina have raised worry among Wyoming cattle ranchers.   • At the Sheridan WYO Rodeo, Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics earned national honors when Phenom Genetics’ bull Magic Touch was named 2025 PRCA Bull of the Year — and THE Black Tie placed third among Saddle Broncs. They will bring 12 animals to the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas from December 4 to 13 while also supplying horses for the Sheridan College Rodeo Team.  Sheridan Media
