- ➤ Library Director Amy Long and Youth Services Manager Zola Shockley announced on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse a family-friendly Day of the Dead celebration partnering with WYO Theater, Downtown Sheridan Association, and Little Goose Enrichment — the event featuring crafts, face painting, food, drink, and music will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the WYO Theater. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Jentel Artist Residency program will host a bagged lunch event at the Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle on Oct. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.—welcoming Sheridan residents to join this creative gathering. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Skyline Singers, the professional chamber choir at Sheridan College, will perform a concert of Wyoming and Montana-themed a cappella music on October 25 at 7 p.m. in Kinnison. The Sheridan Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Superintendent Scott Stults announced at the Oct.6 board meeting that he will meet with parents and community members in a Chats with the Superintendent session today from 6:30 to 8 a.m.—the session will be held at Java Moon Station at 1935 Coffeen Ave. Sheridan Media
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On October 22, 2025, the Sheridan County Commission voted to lift the partial fire restrictions imposed on July 7 to allow careful open burning as requested by County Fire Warden Chris Thomas. The county warned that if you plan to burn, you must check weather conditions and call the Dispatch Center (307) 672-2413 to prevent a fire hazard. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Governor Gordon announced that Domenic Bravo is the new head of the Wyoming Office of Tourism—replacing retiring Director Diane Shober who served over twenty years. Bravo, who led Visit Cheyenne, will work to boost Wyoming tourism and preserve its local charm. Wyoming News Now
- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Transportation runs 226 road webcams that viewers from hundreds of countries use to check weather and road conditions—local workers, commuters and military members rely on them for safe travel. - ➤ MDU filed a rate case in July with the Wyoming Public Service Commission seeking to raise rates by 24.36%—a move that may boost the company’s revenue and lead to higher bills, sparking concern among local residents. The Sheridan Press
