- ➤ The Downtown Sheridan Association will host the Main Street Monster Mash on Oct. 25 — a safe, family-friendly downtown trick-or-treat event designed to bring local families together. The Sheridan Press
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Transportation said a westbound bridge on I-90 near Beulah was hit by an oversized truck load carrying a forklift on October 15, 2025. The bridge was closed for repairs & drivers were advised to use detour routes while engineers assess the damage. Sheridan Media
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Energy Capital Economic Development and Gillette College announced five finalists for the $50,000 Energy Capital Start-Up Challenge—two of whom from Sheridan are Daniel and Jenny Berens with their Hen Hub smart-home device, while the others introduced businesses in heating, note-taking, salvage, and motorcycle repair. The finalists will pitch on Tuesday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Gillette College Old Main Presentation Hall in a free event with a reception to follow. Sheridan Media
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Mark Gordon proclaimed Oct. 23 as Lights On Afterschool Day to honor after-school programs that support youth & his action joins a national effort to recognize these programs. Wyoming Tribune Eagle
- ➤ Due to the federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits for November will not be issued until funding is restored, and the Wyoming Department of Family Services is working with food banks—to help families prepare for the delay. Sheridan Media
