- ➤ A new report shows Wyoming ranks fourth worst for women in construction pay as female workers earn a median wage of $45,556 while making up just 9.7% of the industry—nationally, women earn $54,044 and represent 10.7% of construction workers. - ➤ Cari Goss, a local hunter and creator of Azyre Gear for women, designs gear built for the field — her friend Cheryl Roebling tests and promotes the line as Cari plans an ibex hunt in Spain, a red stag hunt in Chile and an argali sheep hunt in Mongolia. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Leadership Sheridan County is accepting applications for its 2026 class until Oct. 31 — the program welcomes residents over 18 and local groups who can sponsor candidates with employer support. The program will select 22 participants who will learn about Sheridan’s history and future economic and cultural directions. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The city council will vote on the sixth phase at Black Tooth Park today to install an irrigation system for about five acres—city engineer Thomas Morneau said the plan will improve park maintenance. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Sheridan County School District 1 approved the handoff packet for the soon-to-be Big Horn Recreation Center—after initial construction and services are established, the district will assume ownership. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ The application window is now open for Wyoming property tax exemption programs. The relief applies to veterans, longtime homeowners, and residents living in owner occupied homes. Wyoming Tribune Eagle
