- ➤ Residents from Sheridan and Johnson County are invited to attend the nonpartisan No Kings Day rally at the Sheridan County Courthouse this Saturday from 1—3 p.m. The event, organized to support a democratic republic and oppose corruption, encourages participants to bring American flags, signs, and optional costumes. - ➤ Downtown Sheridan Association executive director Zoila Perry and committee chair Mikkayla Heath announced on Public Pulse that road closures will be in place on Saturday, Oct. 25 to ensure safety during the Halloween Monster Mash. The event will include a costume contest at Grinnell Plaza at 10 a.m. and trick-or-treating downtown starting at 10:30 a.m. Sheridan Media

- ➤ The Sheridan College Jazz Ensemble will perform at a free fall concert on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at Kinnison Hall—featuring swing, big band and contemporary jazz with works like 'It's Go Time', '¡Salsa Caliente!', 'String of Pearls' and the world premiere of 'Sunset Chill' while SC Jazztet members Jacob Hirschman, Nick Lulias, Joe Konkel and director Eric Richards offer a mix of classic and modern sounds for all jazz listeners. - ➤ The Ranch at Ucross hosted the 13th Annual Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt from Oct. 9 to Oct. 12, where women learned hunter safety, land ethics, and how to harvest, cut, and prepare antelope meat. Governor Mark Gordon and local landowners joined the event while live music played and an auction raised funds for the Wyoming Women’s Foundation—boosting women's economic self-sufficiency. - ➤ The next phase of Black Tooth Park was discussed Monday at the Sheridan City Council study session, and City Engineer Thomas Morneau said phase six will address irrigation. Staff recommended awarding Highland Inc. a bid of $222,478 (for the irrigation work) and the Council and Mayor Rich Bridger will consider the bid at their next regular business meeting (set for a future date). - ➤ Emma Shelton, who has faced health challenges, took part in the All-Women Pronghorn Hunt held Oct 9-12 at Ucross through the Outdoor Dreams Foundation—she harvested a buck antelope and will join more hunts including a bear hunt in November and a whitetail hunt in Texas. Sheridan Media
