- ➤ During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center said victims are not alone and that its trained advocates offer support during hard times (call 307-672-3222 for help). The team stands with survivors and works to guide them through recovery. City of Sheridan
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is hosting Manufacturing Month this October—more than 10 local manufacturers in Sheridan and Johnson counties will offer public tours to show how they work. CEO Teresa Detimore said the expansion from a single National Manufacturing Day to a full month gives residents and schools more ways to learn about local production. City of Sheridan
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department asked elk hunters in northeast Wyoming to collect blood samples from harvested elk in selected hunt areas to help test for brucellosis in elk, bison and cattle. Hunters were instructed to fill out a card with their kit and submit the sample soon at a check station, regional office or by mail. City of Sheridan

- ➤ Sheridan’s Red Grade Riders will host Wyoming’s first IEA horse show on October 18 at 9 a.m. at Kluz Performance Horses in Gillette—58 riders from four teams, including teams from Colorado, will compete while spectators are welcome. Sheridan Media
