- ➤ The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce recognized this year’s Leadership Sheridan County graduating class during Wednesday’s Chamber Lunch Program in Sheridan. The event honored local participants who completed the leadership program. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center (SARC) reminds victims they are not alone and offers constant support for those facing pressures to stay in abusive relationships. - ➤ Sheridan Community Land Trust opened an experimental off-leash dog area at Big Goose Natural Area to give local dog owners a new place for their pets — officials say the trial may lead to a permanent facility if the program meets community needs. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Sheridan Fire-Rescue partnered with Community Connect to improve emergency response for residents and business owners, as announced by Fire Marshal George Neeson at the City Council meeting. - ➤ Sheridan Community Land Trust’s Iron Riders Trail Driving and Cycling History Tour won first place for its non-professional audio or visual documentary—an honor given by the Wyoming Historical Society for its work in preserving trail history. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ Sheridan’s Native interpreter program shares Indigenous voices and local history at sites near Piney Creek at the base of the Bighorn Mountains—bringing 12,000 years of stories to light. - ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced a photography contest that allows photographers of all ages and skill levels to submit original photos taken in Wyoming for a chance to be published in Wyoming Wildlife magazine—entries must be received before midnight Nov. 17 and winners will receive prizes including a $600 grand prize. - ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said several elk hunt areas in northeast Wyoming have been chosen for brucellosis sampling this fall—hunters must draw a blood sample immediately after harvesting elk and submit it using a sample kit for testing to help track the disease. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Wyoming and six states must negotiate a Colorado River water deal by November 11—if they do not, federal officials will step in to settle the dispute. Wyoming’s Upper Basin has faced water shortages that led to irrigation cutbacks and town water concerns, prompting a push for a supply-based plan for 2026 and beyond. Cowboy State Daily
