- ➤ The Sheridan Community Land Trust will host a free community barbecue from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Aspen Trailhead at Red Grade Trails to celebrate the opening of the Highlander Trail—connecting the Aspen Trailhead to the Little Bear Loop for hikers and bikers. Residents are asked to bring sturdy shoes, a bike, and their sense of adventure as the event marks the official launch of the new trail with support from Wyoming Pathways. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The annual Clearmont Women’s Club Quilting Bee will be held Saturday, September 20 at 9 a.m. at the Clearmont Library and Community Center—attendees are invited to join in quilting and bring a dish for the noon potluck lunch. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan College approved a purchase of 47 acres adjacent to Agripark on September 16th for $2.1 million to give its growing rodeo team more room and to expand teaching space—College President Dr. Walter Tribley said the deal will close within 60 days. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The SCSD#1 Board of Trustees met on September 16 in Big Horn and chairman Clint Krumm read the new mission statement 'Empowering Learners, Enriching Lives' while new principal Ryan Fuhrman introduced a crest with a Latin motto translating to 'Bravery, Honor, Heart and Scholarship' — student representatives shared homecoming plans and Superintendent Jeff Jones announced 'Check and Connect' sessions on September 22 and 23. - ➤ The NWCCD Board of Trustees approved a $2.1 million purchase that will add 47 acres to Sheridan College’s property near the AgriPark in north Sheridan—expanding the school’s campus for future programs. The Sheridan Press
