  • Columnist Gail Symons writes that Wyoming’s libraries are key to building strong community bonds, sharing how the Carnegie Library in Sheridan supports learning, internet access and community meetings. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Sheridan County Commissioners will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Second Floor Board Room of the Sheridan County Courthouse Addition to work through a heavy agenda of twenty items including a resolution on zoning for airport structures, a Preliminary Plat for Bucking Iron Business Park, a plan for the Brenneman Event Venue CUP, a Wolff Minor Subdivision proposal, and a revised federal assistance request for a taxiway project. SPORTS NEWS

  • At the Weston County Fair in Newcastle, kids rode miniature bulls and sheep in a safe and fun contest with more than 80 entries from Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana—teaching them good sportsmanship and riding techniques. Many young riders plan to try tougher events as they build their skills.  Cowboy State Daily
