  • Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club members Jim Rapp, Eric Kulvinska, and Bill Rathburn appeared on Public Pulse to promote their ongoing peach sale which supports children’s vision care and provides free screenings and medical services. Peaches are sold in 20-pound boxes for $40 (orders by Aug. 14), and pears were not available this year due to a hailstorm.  Sheridan Media
  • Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns will host its annual Women Build event starting Aug. 5 and running for four days—participants can register as individuals—or in teams to learn or refresh essential building skills.  City of Sheridan

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Wyoming attorneys filed an appeal asking the Supreme Court to overturn Judge Froelicher’s decision that found public schools underfunded, arguing that the trial did not present clear measurable harm to students and that current funding is sufficient—attorneys claim this legal move will end decades of funding litigation.  Casper Star-Tribune
