- ➤ A volunteer search for missing James 'Bo' Galloway, last seen on April 30 at his Sheridan home on Westview Drive, turned up few clues—including a misplaced sports jersey—while police using K-9 teams and cadaver dogs and family scoured over 600 acres and Big Goose Creek for evidence. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported Wyoming’s overall unemployment rate held at 3.3% in June while Sheridan County’s rate increased from 3.2% to 3.6% and Johnson County’s from 2.6% to 3.0%. The report noted that every county had higher rates than last year — Teton County had the lowest rate at 2.3% and Big Horn County the highest at 4.7% — signaling a broader rise in labor supply over the past 12 months. - ➤ The Sheridan City Council approved an updated operating agreement with Sheridan County Travel and Tourism that shortens the term from five to two years, running through June 30, 2027—an automatic renewal option could extend the agreement to June 30, 2029.
