  • Cat lead Sue Johnson and dog lead Liz Lande said that puppies at the local shelter are now ready for adoption—shelter staff provide health checks and quarantine when needed while kittens take longer to reach a safe weight for procedures. They also noted many pit bull mixes are waiting, as adopters work to overcome misconceptions about the breed.  Sheridan Media
  • Christine Dieterich, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns in Sheridan, was appointed to the U.S. Council of Habitat for Humanity International on July 25 (she is the council’s first Wyoming representative) and will serve on its Advocacy and Policy Committees (guiding national housing policy).  City of Sheridan

  • Jentel Presents returns Tuesday, July 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Inner Circle of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library and invites residents to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy cookies while meeting five visiting artists from across the country—hosted by the Jentel Artist Residency. The free event will set the stage for the next installment, which will take place Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the same location—offering another chance for community engagement.  Sheridan Media

  • The Wyoming Department of Agriculture announced that Queen Bee Gardens voluntarily recalled select Whipped Honey products due to the possible presence of a foreign material.
