EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On July 14, the Sheridan County School District #2 Board of Trustees met to review the budget, discuss projects like the new playground at Story Elementary, and note CEP benefits for free meals—sports teams and coaches were also honored. Assistant track coach Chuck Walters praised the state championship boys outdoor track team as trustee Shelta Rambur questioned rising costs amid falling enrollment—policy and facility updates were also covered. - ➤ Today, after Connie Gay presented the plan, the Johnson County School Board approved the FY2026 budget with total funds of $39.8 million.
