Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 7th of July.
Good morning, Sheridan.
🎭 Culture
Sheridan now has a new Wyoming Natural History Museum located in the Mohns Center at Sheridan College — visitors see Paul the triceratops along with exhibits of local dinosaur bones, fossils, a lapidary lab and a prep lab for cleaning bones.
Curator Dave Nicolarsen said the museum will host a dig on July 12-13 to uncover more local fossils.
🏛️ Government
The U.S. Justice Department filed a Statement of Interest on July 6 in the Equality State Policy Center vs. Chuck Gray lawsuit to back Wyoming's law requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration.
The department said it will help prevent fraud and protect election integrity (citing longstanding principles of state rights).
