- ➤ Local firefighters told the Appropriations Committee on Monday that a shortage of personnel and equipment could weaken Wyoming’s wildfire response if another large season unfolds. Officials added that Wyoming has fewer fire engines & staffing compared to other Western states and proposed hiring more trainers and staff to address burnout. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ State Rep. Karlee Provenza accused Gov. Gordon and Rep. Hageman of being partners in a public land grab after they supported a past lawsuit on shifting federal lands to state control, saying their stance paves the way for Rep. Mike Lee’s proposal to sell millions of acres over the next five years (Provenza wrote in a guest column).
