- ➤ Kindness Ranch in Hartville gives former research animals a new start as Executive Director John Ramer works with laboratories to transfer dogs, cats, and other species to safety—22 dogs were rescued on June 8 and 47 beagles plus 20 more are scheduled to arrive later this year. - ➤ Spalding the cat arrived in Gillette three months ago with severe injuries including a massive abscess that took half his face—he has now fully recovered after intensive treatment at Second Chance Sheridan and is ready for adoption.
