- ➤ Sheridan College’s third annual Broadway Musical Theater Intensive will culminate in three performances of WORKING, A Musical starting Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. and continuing on Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts — tickets range from $20 to $30. - ➤ Sheridan Community Land Trust received a $15,000 gift from Powder River Basin Trout Unlimited on June 20 to start a detailed survey of 6,000 feet of Big Goose Creek near 14 Lane Ln. - ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding a public meeting Monday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sheridan Regional Office at 700 Valley View Dr—this meeting will gather public input on proposed Chapter 52 changes that reclassify otters as nongame wildlife and set requirements for reporting accidental takes of otters and foxes, while written comments are accepted until 5:00 p.m. July 31. - ➤ The State Loan and Investment Board approved $500k for Sheridan to buy a new fire engine—while it did not act on a parking funding request. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ On June 7, a federally required mass casualty drill took place at Sheridan County Airport to test emergency response plans for a simulated CRJ200 passenger plane crash. County Commissioner Nick Siddle attended the after action review and said one issue was found that must be fixed to keep FAA certification — the drill is held every three years. Sheridan Media
