- ➤ The 7th annual Johnson County Weed Bounty program kicked off on June 12 with Wyoming Game and Fish Department support as volunteers removed thousands of pounds of invasive weeds to help protect native rangeland and wildlife—participants earn payments for removing and reporting noxious plants that threaten local ecosystems. - ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department runs AIS check stations to stop invasive species like zebra and quagga mussels and curly pondweed from spreading into waters used for water sports and recreation. - ➤ Sheridan Memorial Hospital's Cody Sinclair and Liz Dearcorn appeared on Public Pulse to update the community on progress in building the new Behavioral Health Unit as part of the Growing for You campaign—this effort is raising funds to help local residents get needed mental health care. Dr. Michael Kinney has already met with around 300 community members while fundraising continues with a match fund from the O’Dell family to help close the $700,000 gap. Sheridan Media
