CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Robert Swaney of Sheridan was arrested on April 6 for burglary and conspiracy to steal from unlocked vehicles on local streets, and his arraignment was temporarily suspended when his attorney requested a competency evaluation (to be conducted by the Wyoming State Hospital) with a new hearing date to be set once the evaluation is complete (pending the results). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Sheridan County Commission will meet in the Second Floor Board Room of the courthouse addition to consider board appointments for Historic Preservation, Hospital, Library, Planning & Zoning, and Parks & Recreation commissions—additionally, they will review an EMS amendment, a contract with the Department of Health, property vacations in Downer Addition, and an Appraiser’s Report for Penrose County Road, with the meeting open to the public.
