- ➤ Sheridan residents voiced concerns during a meeting over a proposal to construct raised medians along Coffeen Avenue and Brundage Lane. They continue to demand more details and clarity from local officials before the project proceeds. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ On Wednesday, Mariah Pierce, a recent Sheridan High graduate, received a graduation gift of two Mountain Warrior T-shirts and a cap from the Mountain Warriors at VFW Post 1560 for making 500 wooden flags—a project she began as a girl scout. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Local organizations and volunteers honored fallen Veterans by placing flags on headstones earlier this Memorial Day weekend; flag removal is scheduled for tomorrow, May 30, at 9 a.m. at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery and volunteers are needed to help. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan Arts Council President Shawn Day says the group has supported performing arts in Sheridan for over 40 years — acting as an umbrella for nonprofits like Concerts in the Park to foster local arts appreciation. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Jamie Brester, PTO president for eight years, held a ribbon cutting Thursday, May 28 at Henry A. Coffeen School as the organization opened a new shed for storing games, supplies, eggs, napkins, and towels. - ➤ Researchers from the University of Wyoming and state agencies released a study on how housing spacing affects big game movement near Cody and Jackson, finding narrow open areas reduce wildlife passage — the study introduces a new measurement method for gauging migration corridor loss. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan Memorial Hospital will host an open house for its new behavioral health unit on Wednesday, Jun. 24. Community members can tour the facility and learn about the new services offered. The Sheridan Press
- ➤ At Amie Holt Care Center, Director of Nursing JoAnn Kay reported that the facility has 38 residents with an 80.91% occupancy and an average stay of 690.51 days, and staffing is gradually improving plus the new WanderGuard BLUE will be installed early in June to help monitor residents. - ➤ JCHC Clinic Director Crystal Smith reported to the hospital board on Wednesday night that visits in April reached 1,296 with 42 new patients and 342 in the walk-in clinic, and that staffing updates include new Charge Nurse (Lauren Collins) and an RN (Elisa Lopez) joining Dr. Darnell’s team.
