  • Sheridan Community Land Trust partners with local landowners & organizations to expand its conservation efforts for community land protection. The partnerships aim to boost stewardship by pooling local expertise and resources.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • Buffalo Lions Club hosts the 42nd Annual Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby this Memorial Day Weekend at Lake DeSmet. The event offers over $50,000 in prizes including tagged fish starting at $100 plus daily cash prizes of $1,000 on Saturday, $1,500 on Sunday, and $2,000 on Monday with tickets sold locally.  City of Sheridan
  • Today, Fort Phil Kearny will host the Cheyenne Welcome Ceremony at 6 p.m. with Cheyenne speakers, drumming and songs by the Last Bear Drum Group; visitors are asked not to record the invocation and to bring lawn chairs to learn more about their Cheyenne neighbors.  City of Sheridan

  • Jentel Artist Residency will host this month's Jentel Presents at its studio in Banner on May 26. Locals are invited to join the tour and explore the creative space.  The Sheridan Press
  • The Brinton Museum in the Historic Quarter Circle A Ranch will host free summer events including an oral history symposium on June 11, an annual tipi raising on June 12 (10 a.m.), a gala on June 26, and brunch with an art auction on Aug 1.  Sheridan Media
  • The Bighorn Arts Collective announced that Americana duo The Imaginaries will headline the free, family-friendly Collective Arts Festival on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Whitney Commons in Sheridan. It will be their first local performance and additional event details will follow.  Sheridan Media

  • Over 400 eighth graders from Sheridan and Johnson counties explored career opportunities today at Sheridan College, learning about different programs (including hands-on experiences) designed to introduce local job paths.  The Sheridan Press
  • TRHS seniors are preparing to begin their next chapter at Tongue River High School + senior Madison Thomas said she feels the school is a close-knit family.  The Sheridan Press
  • Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and Sheridan County Travel and Tourism are hosting a free frontline employee training workshop at Ramada Plaza (1809) on June 9. The event aims to help frontline workers learn practical skills.  The Sheridan Press
  • Big Horn Preschool held a practice graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 to celebrate its young students and give them a fun taste of their future milestones.  The Sheridan Press

  • The Sheridan Broncs defeated the Riverton Wolverines 3-1 on May 22 in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament at Thunder Basin High School in Gillette.  City of Sheridan
  • The Sheridan Lady Broncs lost 2-1 in overtime at the Class 4A State Tournament held at Campbell County High School in Gillette on May 22. Teammates praised Kara Erraamouspe after she scored a goal early in the second period.  City of Sheridan
