- ➤ Tara Hall at New West High School (NWHS) in Buffalo was named Teacher of the Year by Johnson County School District for 2026 after a Monday night board meeting. Principal Dr. Michael Hanson announced the honor, and Hall thanked her colleagues. City of Sheridan

- ➤ On May 13, the Wyoming Department of Transportation partially reopened the east side of U.S. 14A after removing winter's snow — motorists can travel between Mile Marker 98 at Bear Lodge and Mile Marker 80 at Bald Mountain Overlook with restrictions, including a closed gate and no semi trucks, until the full reopening on May 22. - ➤ Wyoming State Engineer Brandon Gebhart said Montana’s water call on May 5 set priority administration for post-1950 water rights in the Tongue Basin — a meeting is planned from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at The Hub on Smith with entry on the north side. Sheridan Media
- ➤ On May 13, Sheridan County Commissioners recognized Airport Manager Robert Gill for 15 years of service with a Certificate of Appreciation and Chamber Bucks, and announced three $1,000 Commissioners’ Scholarships for high school graduates to attend the University of Wyoming or community colleges (each gives $500 per semester).
