- ➤ On May 8, SCSD#1 held its teacher awards ceremony for teacher appreciation week in Sheridan. The event honored retirees, staff and over a dozen educators including District Teacher of the Year Tina Melin and Apple Award winner Dr. Jamie Clifford (with an honorary award for late bus driver Steve Jones). - ➤ Sheridan College held its associate degree Nursing pinning ceremony on Saturday, May 9 at Kinnison Hall at Whitney Center for Arts, where Jenna Hoffman passed the Florence Nightingale lamp to Jadyn Conner to mark the achievement for the nursing program. Sheridan Media

- ➤ The East Downtown Project began Monday, May 4 with work on East Works, East Loucks and the alley between Main and Gould, building on WYDOT’s Main Street project. - ➤ Sheridan Memorial Hospital is considering a change to a critical access facility to allow physicians more time with patients. The hospital applied to the state for the designation + if approved it could take up to 1 year for the change to become official. City of Sheridan
