- ➤ Trail End Historic Site held a free birdwatching event yesterday on the Kendrick Mansion steps where loaner binoculars were available—it will host its first White Glove Tour on May 21 at 6 p.m. with registration open and regular admission required. City of Sheridan
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Civil War ended in April 1865 when General Lee surrendered to General Grant, and its effects reached Sheridan as the town was named in honor of Union General Phil Sheridan while veterans and surplus military arms helped shape local frontier battles. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Sheridan agreed to install a new traffic signal at Brundage Lane and Bighorn Avenue after a study on the area’s future growth. The city will update the corner while the signal is built and the two will split the $1.26 million cost, with work set to begin in 2027 or 2028. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Sheridan started using the Connect Sheridan app to let residents report potholes and utility issues as officials said the app sends reports directly to the proper departments—Councilman Andrew Patceg and Public Works Director Hanns Mercer explained its benefits.
