- ➤ On Saturday, local residents cleaned property and disposed of up to one ton of waste per visit for free at the landfill while receiving a seedling tree from Landon’s Greenhouse, Nursery and Landscaping — volunteers also formed teams to pick up extra trash. City of Sheridan
- ➤ The Hub on Smith offers made-to-order breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, serving as a community space for meals and social events; seniors are encouraged to register + help support ongoing services. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The Mountain Warriors coordinated the first-ever Rez Ride on May 4 — the ride started and ended at VFW Post 1560, and the Christian Motorcycle Association of Sheridan blessed the bikes. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Sheridan College will open an exhibition of Eliza Weber’s work in the Edward A. Whitney Gallery on Thursday, May 7. An artist talk and closing reception will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 and the event is free and open to the public. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site will host a Cheyenne Powwow at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23 and a bird walk at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 28 (adults pay $4 and children enter free) as part of a spring cultural series celebrating regional history. Sheridan Media
- ➤ Mike Dawson from Ranchester presented dinosaur molds and Tyrannosaurus rex teeth at the third-annual gem and mineral show at Ramada Plaza on Saturday (the event attracted local collectors). Sheridan Media

- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported that in February the statewide unemployment rate held at 3.6% while Sheridan & Johnson County dropped from 4.2% in January to 3.9%, and non-farm employment increased by 900 jobs over the past year. City of Sheridan

- ➤ Hospital Chief-of-Staff Dr. Brian Darnell reported on May 4 that physician’s assistant Maranda Koch and provider Dr. Regg Hagge have settled easily into their new roles at Johnson County Healthcare Center—staff say local practice is drawing interest from medical students. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Wyoming residents now have an online tool to locate free naloxone, a medication that reverses opioid overdoses. The resource is available statewide to help those in need. Wyoming Tribune Eagle

- ➤ The Sheridan Speedway season opener on Sunday—where local driver Kholin Harmon swept his race—featured wins by Brett Konst and Rayce McCord while Chad Switzenberg improved to finish fourth in the Wissota Midwest Modified feature. Sheridan Media
