CULTURE NEWS

  • SCLT’s Kevin Knapp (History Program Manager) and John Graves (Director of Conservation and Resource Management) led a history and land tour Saturday at Big Goose Natural Area where Sheridanites learned about the K.N. Garden and historic streetcar.  Sheridan Media
  • A large crowd gathered on April 17 at Ucross Art Gallery for a reception for Resilience—an exhibit featuring Indigenous art by 2025 Ucross Fellowship winners. The free exhibit runs until May 15 with gallery hours Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  City of Sheridan
  • 122 years ago, Sheridan received $12,500 from Andrew Carnegie to build a modern public library; local leaders chose a site at Loucks and Brooks streets (a central location) and raised funds to purchase the land. It opened in 1905 and remains a key piece of our town’s cultural history.  Sheridan Media

SPORTS NEWS

  • Earlier this month, Sheridan High School’s boys fly fishing team placed third in the inaugural Wyoming High School Fly Fishing State Championship in Casper—a club event involving nine teams—and organizers praised learning experiences while scheduling an open meet in October plus another championship next April.  Sheridan Media
  • On Sunday, Apr. 19, the Sheridan American Legion Troopers hosted the Miles City Mavericks at Ernie Rotellini Field and won 15 to 3 in five innings and 10 to 0 in the nightcap.  Sheridan Media
