  • Downtown Sheridan Association announced that the first Downtown Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. Local businesses will hide eggs and one secret Golden Egg—while families also join egg dyeing at Frackelton’s Restaurant at 1 p.m.  City of Sheridan
  • The Downtown Sheridan Association’s Marketing and Promotions Committee is running the Spring Cha-Ching! April Shopping Spree—each purchase at a downtown store earns an entry for a drawing in the first week of May. Shoppers must text a photo of their receipt by 11:59 p.m. April 30 for a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.  Sheridan Media

CULTURE NEWS

  • Sheridan College is presenting PRISM '25 featuring M.E.A.T. at 7 p.m. on April 17 in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts—an event that is free and open to the public—where Music Technology students will perform original works.  Sheridan Media

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Sheridan College in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and the Sheridan VA Healthcare System will host the 2025 Spring Job and Network Fair at the Golden Dome on April 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event will let job seekers meet local employers for onsite interviews — employers must register early to secure a table.  Sheridan Media

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Wyoming oil and gas producers welcomed the new directive announced on April 10 that removes the requirement for environmental reviews for about 3,224 federal leases on public lands — officials say the Bureau of Land Management will evaluate environmental impact when drilling is proposed.  Cowboy State Daily
  • At a Tuesday meeting, Sheridan County Commissioners awarded a contract for the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality project to treat 65 miles of county roads for dust mitigation—just under $428,000 in total with $226,000 from the federal government and over $202,000 from county funds—and the bid was 102% of the engineer’s estimate of $419,000.  Sheridan Media
