- ➤ Sheridan City Councilor Greg Luhman invites residents to join the Community Cleanup and Trees for Trash event on Saturday, May 2 in Emerald City. Volunteers will clean public spaces and personal properties and may receive a free Mountain Ash seedling+ call Recycling and Solid Waste Coordinator Seliena Parker at 674-8461 to form a team. - ➤ The Museum at the Bighorns will host Voices and Votes: Democracy in American, a Smithsonian exhibit opening Saturday, Apr. 18 that features free Family Day events (10:00 am to noon) plus programs on Wyoming’s suffrage history and local government to spark community discussion on American democracy. - ➤ The SCSD#3 Board of Trustees met Wednesday, Apr. 8 to review school issues and community input + approved propane bid advertising, an alternate board representative for Clear Creek, and a junior high basketball coach posting. Community member Misty Moore praised a recent student trip to Washington, DC and New York City, and the board will reconvene May 13 at 6 p.m. City of Sheridan

- ➤ On April 11, Wyoming Game and Fish Department biologist Andrew Nikirk said local waters were stocked for anglers and warned that fish may stress and die if water temperatures approach 70°F, urging anglers to fish early and monitor temperatures to improve catch-and-release survival. - ➤ Sheridan Police Chief Travis Koltiska declared (April 12 to 18) National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week at the City Council meeting to honor telecommunicators for their service. He noted dispatchers logged 35,887 calls in 2025 to underline their vital role in public safety. Sheridan Media
