ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Historical floods in Sheridan, caused by melting snow and ice jams in Big and Little Goose Creeks, struck as early as 1899 and again in 1923 and 1924. In 1963, the Army Corps of Engineers implemented flood control projects, and city officials continue to monitor the creeks for safety. Sheridan Media
- ➤ The Big Goose Natural Area at 14 Lane Lane offers 117 acres with over two miles of walking trails, fishing access, and floating on Big Goose Creek (including off-leash routes and a welcome center) in Sheridan. The permanently conserved site will serve residents for generations. City of Sheridan
