- ➤ The Sheridan Recreation District is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt today at 10 a.m. at Thorne-Rider Park with new prizes for little egg seekers, followed by a Hound Hunt for dogs at 11 a.m. at Dan Madia Field; officials have a backup plan if winter weather returns. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Sheridan County YMCA is working to restore free pancake breakfasts that once brought families together over a warm meal. Executive Director Liz Cassiday invited locals on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to help revive the tradition. Sheridan Media

- ➤ Ye Olde Bronc Players will present Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors at Sheridan Junior High’s Early Building Auditorium on April 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. The event, a collaboration between the school district + WYO PLAY, is designed for jr. high students. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Cloud Peak Cross Fit hosted its first Golgotha 2026 event in Sheridan that started on Good Friday and will end Easter Sunday. Sixteen athletes complete hourly workouts and scripture reading to honor the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life—an event shared across the nation. Sheridan Media

- ➤ The Sheridan County YMCA is offering 51 summer camps for kids, with registration opening April 11 for members and April 15 for nonmembers, and local partnerships ensuring diverse programs + available scholarships for qualifying participants. City of Sheridan
- ➤ Big Horn High School students will stage Beetlejuice Jr. on closing night, marking senior Emmie Rambur’s final performance (a memorable milestone for the school community). The Sheridan Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On April 3, the Sheridan Community Land Trust invited small cattle producers to join a virtual fencing project aimed at reducing fencing needs + protecting sensitive grazing areas. SCLT conservation leaders explained the program’s benefits on Public Pulse. City of Sheridan
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Domingez spoke on Public Pulse on April 3 about the exceptionally dry conditions and urged residents to take care to prevent wildfires (partial fire restrictions began on March 30). City of Sheridan
- ➤ The Wyoming Economic Analysis Division reported that between July 1, 2024 and July 1, 2025 the state’s population increased by 2,031 to 588,753, while Sheridan County’s count grew by 308 to 33,241 (a 0.9% rise). The county had the second largest gain after Laramie County. Sheridan Media
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted a wish for Clearmont youth Bronc Vineyard, a senior at A/C School who is in remission after leukemia from 2023. His wish added a new flatbed to his pickup and he plans to finish treatments before attending Grand Canyon University. City of Sheridan
- ➤ On Apr. 3, the Johnson County Healthcare Center Board discussed a new credentialing process as CEO Luke Senden said the medical staff will now approve credentials instead of administration; board members approved recommendations including appointing Dr. Randall Snyder III for teleradiology.
