- ➤ Kiwanis Club of Sheridan presented the 64th-annual Stars of Tomorrow Talent Competition on Saturday at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. Division winners were Ari Kerr and Florence Culp in Division One, Olivia Gilbert in Division Two, and Cheyenne Harris in Division Three, while People’s Choice awards went to multiple local acts. - ➤ Sheridan College will host its Annual Student Juried Exhibition at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4 at the Edward A. Whitney Gallery at the Whitney Center for the Arts. - ➤ The Acme Working Group will host a meeting on Wednesday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. — 6:30 p.m. at Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle to update residents on demolition plans and soils cleanup at the former power plant as part of efforts to address water and land quality issues. Sheridan Media
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Due to unusually dry winter and spring conditions, Sheridan County imposed partial fire restrictions at 8:00 a.m. on March 30, limiting open burning, fireworks, and spark-producing activities outside incorporated areas. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sheridan Memorial Hospital will host two forums to explain its plan to pursue a Critical Access Hospital designation. One forum is on Thursday, April 9 at noon at the Center for a Vital Community (245 Broadway Street) and the other is on Friday, April 10 at noon at the same location. Sheridan Media
